I joined Avenir Roofing back in September/October 2020 and have absolutely loved it here. The environment we have created across the whole business from the office and warehouse to the Area Sales Managers is very good. The relationships we have all built with each other is rare and just makes work that little bit more enjoyable. I think that shows when you look at the amount of years that people stay to work here. I started out in the warehouse and then very quickly came into the office to start on internal sales, after a couple of years I then progressed into the Internal Sales Team Leader and then in November 2025 I was offered the opportunity to step into a hybrid role, taking on the responsibility of the South East. I really enjoy being able to get out and meet customers after dealing with their accounts on email and over the phone. The other benefit is being able to help the business grow and bring on new customers starting new relationships.
In the evenings and over the weekend I like to kick a football about and if I’m not at work that is where you’ll most likely find me - On a pitch training or playing matches a few times a week. It’s been my passion my whole life and something I don’t think that I will ever get bored of. Playing semi-professionally is something I take good pride in and I like to keep myself in good enough shape to last a full 90 minutes every week…the beer after a game and the end of season trip using the fines pot is always a bonus.
